Non-invasive and invasive cardiac labs — the clinical core of the institute.
The institute runs both non-invasive and invasive heart labs, covering routine cardiac investigation through to angiographic and interventional procedures.
Non-invasive heart labs
The non-invasive lab covers the full range of routine cardiac investigation: a computerised and manual ECG unit, colour Doppler echocardiography, whole-body vascular colour Doppler imaging, tread mill testing, Holter monitoring and stress echocardiography.
Invasive heart labs — cath lab and cardiac surgery
The angiographic and cardiac catheterisation techniques available include pacemaker implantation, angiography and angioplasty, and the intra-aortic balloon pump. Interventional cardiology at Sadhbawna is evolving gradually and steadily.
Advanced cardiac procedures
The hospital is also enabled to provide advanced cardiac procedures at Patiala and New Delhi. These include advanced angioplasty, valvoplasty and cardiac surgery programmes.
After a cardiac event
Coronary care beds sit within the institute’s twelve-bed ICU, CCU and neuro ICU complex, and a weekly cardiac rehabilitation programme supports patients after discharge.
